    ^^^^^ +1 Thats the reason why. It can't be be anything else except the car car is lighter with a small amount of fuel onboard but very,very marginal.

    195 Or 205 On a 172 Cup with Turinis

    195 are the originals and they are cheaper. Handling should be better on the 195's but others say they don't notice the difference, it would be very marginal. 205 Rolling radius is slightly more than 195, so again a tiny difference in your speedo reading. I can't see any advantage in the 205's...

    It seems to be a mint Cup, but you never know till you see it, 18" Rims? Prepare to loose yer fillings. I would at least go and see it.

    Are you saying the fan mounting has water marks on it? It's beginning to look like the rad leaking. Have you tried driving the car hard until it is really hot then stopping and quickly opening the bonnet to see leaks. Or disconnect the wiring to the rad sensor and leave it running, it will...

    Not running a car for a couple of years is not a good idea but if you can't sell it I would - Not car cover it as it would discolour and scratch the paint with wind movement. Put all 4 corners on axle stands. Leave handbrake off. Wedge the clutch open, or that will stick, with a peice of wood...

    You'll have to jack the front of the car up, put it on axlestands and run the engine so everything gets hot, then see where the water is coming from. Even when cold you should see some water stains where it is leaking.

Hot water circulates from the Thermostat bolted on the the gearbox end of the engine along the top hose, into the rad. out through the bottom hose and into the water pump then around the engine.
