First off with the ignition on 1 without the engine started pump the pedal until rock hard and leave your foot on it to see if it travels down slightly if it stays solid, then start the car with your foot on the pedal and it should now go down as normal, this rules out a leak in the MC or lines...
The abs system on these cars are shocking, First thing to check would be the fuse, then clean all the built up disc/pad shards that stick to the sensors, then check the reluctor rings for rust, cracks or if they've moved away from under the sensor, if its a cracked ring then the offending side...
Looks great that! Defo will benefit from the Eibach springs and callipers could do with a paint, but looks very clean. I'd keep the turini's as well, they'll look much better when lowered maybe with some spacers look even better.
What a way the ruin the new car experience! That would pi$$ me right off!
It might come off with a machine polish and some fine cutting fluid. It'll take a layer of the clear coat with it mind.
Good vid. No talk of the lack of diff as per most people's gripe, do you feel it's decent enough without?
Was looking at this today albeit the M135i, just think it would make sense to buy one fitted with a diff and suspension given the cost and that I'd also track it...
Not without fabricating and welding rails in the Clio to suit. RX8 seats aren't the greatest seat anyway so better off with Corbeau Clubsport or Bimarco Futura as a budget option. Get them on eBay as they fit old land rovers and the MPS6. I sold a set not that long ago for £100.
Missus has just text saying the head bridesmaid for our wedding has just rang saying she's arranging their hen do 6th of 7th of July. Like f*ck I said, its CSF and I missed the last one and there's no chance I'm missing this one. Turns out i'm a selfish bstard and we only get married once...
Haha no chance, last time we were there at the same time he binned it at Druids with your John in it if I remember? Terrible passenger me mate, made Mike stop after 1 lap of Croft so I could get out, lol.
Fair play for the re-shell. Think I would have called it a day after Spa. Get it down to Oulton 2/3, few going off here now. Always good to see this out on track.
Anyone used this compound? Picked up a used set recently and cant find a shred of info online how they perform, the 100 is competition compound but no idea on performance. I know the 180's are a bit gash but to be expected being so hard and a road/track tyre similar to the AD08R. I ask as I wont...
No need for fancy discs, OE Pagid or Brembo HC from ECP are more than enough. Save your money seriously.
If you are adamant on the above go with the Brembo set-up.
OE Pagid discs all-round, with OE Pagid rear pads and OE Pagid DOT 4 fluid with EBC yellow stuff front pads would be decent and not to expensive.
OE Pagid bits from ECP £147

Yellowstuff front pads £110...
How come you're upgrading, track work? I find the brakes on the VRS which are exactly the same as the ED30 excellent. I use DS2500 all-around on the road and DS1.11 front/DS2500 rear on track and they are superb. Best single pot set up I've used TBH.
Other front options are:
TTS
S3
R32
Leon...
Spring rate is preference really. Sure the 750 kits come stiffer at the rear when the cup racers used them. What other supporting handling mods do you have roll bars, tyres, negative camber etc?
