If you're on a budget, the cheapest way to make a mk1 look smart is a set of phase 2 16v wheels on 195/45's, drop it on 55mm gmax springs at the front and about the same at the back. Then you could pick up a 2nd hand subtle backbox, 16v spoiler,16v steering wheel, interior (all cheap) i dont...

scuttle panel is going satin black or colour coded, haven't decided yet. phase 2 grille and all other plastics are getting colour coded also, doing things one step at a time, i'm a student like.

I've just been out for a quick drive, they're not as bad as i thought they would be but not brilliant.

Will try to do the indicators and fogs at some point, and all the plastics will be getting sprayed soon too :) Might do my badge satin black again...

Thanks, it's not actually the glass that i've sprayed though. I've yet to see how well they work at night :/
