I put steelies on for a few weeks just because i like the extra accelleration compared to my 17's, and its just refreshing to see it looking different i suppose :)
Nice to hear that my 1.4 shafts and box can be used, i presume the ratio will be different but it'll still work yeah? I'll still most likely find one from a clio to save the hassle, thanks for the info :)
Thanks Dan, i wont be doing the conversion until the summer so i'll keep it in mind. Took me and two mates 2 days to fit a willy lump.
Am i better off looking for a full car or an engine on its own? I mean you see valvers going for 4-500 quid but surely they're fooked or need engine work at...
Am i right in thinking that a 19 16v engine would go straight into my RT?
For example if i bought a full car would everything (subframe, shafts, gearbox) fit the same as it would if i used a clio 16v donor? Seems to me that 19 16v's go for a fair bit cheaper for some reason :dapprove: Thanks
Gav
I've had 3 mk1 clio's and lowered every one 55mm on standard shocks no problems, had no trouble at all. I would have prefered new shocks but always seemed to spend the money on another mod instead! you know how it is :D
Anymore pics of that orange clio Nathan, looks quite interesting
I think it will look nice once the standard splitter is back on, colour coded and slammed.
Although i dont think the gold works with your car, reckon the centres would look better all silver or gunmetal.
Nice one thanks for posting Lee :D
The camber you see on the back wheel is due to the angle he has taken the pic. Perfectly straight i'm sure Lee will confirm :)
Thats just how mine would be mate, lovely :D
My mate had a white one, fully resprayed and some pahse 2 16v wheels, slammed, scorpion exhaust and thats it.was absolutely mint! and it scared the hell out of me too!
Thanks mate, got quite a few pictures now. I dont use the rear seats at all but it looks complete with them in. I dont know if i'd like it with my rsi seats in the front, they look miles better stripped with buckets/cage.
