Indeed. It's great fun to manage !!! My initial point stands though. Go down the omex route, but take cams instead of a single jenvey body. You can use a mk1 172 TB for the cable throttle swap that the omex requires.

Depends if you later plan to go a great deal further. For me, the smt worked perfectly with different cams, modified inlet and headwork (amongst others) The omex was only needed when the cams spec was uprated to a pretty wild profile.
