Renault do a special tool, but the filter should only be done up hand tight, not girly hand tight like! Make sure it's tight!! Few years ago the garage i worked for was a unipart specialist, had a load of filter's randomly coming undone.........Faulty apparently, somethung to do with the seals!

I am pretty sure we had one of these and the oxygen sensor wire had rubbed through, the 12V feed? everytime the engine moved it blew a fuse and stopped....... worth a shifty maybe!?
