Thanks guys for all the comments :)
funily enough all the tubing i ordered turned up this morning so hopefully going to crack on with it over the weekend.
As all the body work has now been done on my clio i have started to give it a full on detail as it hasnt been cleaned properly in ages.
First thing i did this morning was to pull out the rear lights and work my way around the boot as it had dirt in all the gaps.
before
My cat also decided...
i was the same with my saxo, it was my first car and i had put a lot of time and effort into making it look good. but i got an offer i would have been stupid to refuse. so in the end it went in place of a clio
it doesnt have to cost a lot to, so far i have paid (prices include postage)
Front bumper with fog surrounds and grill £80
rear bumper £65
Skirts £70
grille £48
Springs £40
meggy splitter £30
Wheels £150
then on paint and materials i have spent
£125 for the body parts and £35 for wheel refurb...
ah but you have a 182 which are lower to start with, he has got a non sport, my 1.2 is on 17s down 50mm and it doesnt rub, i also think sometimes they look too big but they were a good buy so cant really complain
^^ its only embarising if you take part in illegal racing.
its a straight fit mate, dont worry you dont have to customise the archliners just some of the bolt holes dont line up. still plenty secure enough though mate
side skirts are now done
just got to order the rest of the tubing for the exhaust and then PC the car. i will PC the skirts, door strips and rear bumper as i havent done that yet. it makes a massive difference in bringing out the shine and giving a gloss finish to the laquer. Then i will go...

update
today i started fixing the skirts on properly as they are now painted.
also my bro had a quick blast in the car so i snapped some pics. needs a clean and the car PC'ing
182 rear bumper is now on, plus i have bought a mig welder to fabricate the 182 style tailpipes
use brentacre mate they are awesome. you pay for a modify car insurance policy which then allows any cosmetic mods including lowering etc, and any performance mods of up to 10bhp gains so full exhaust and induction kit. if you want to add more performances mods you just pay for a higher BHP band
looks like you have done a decent job mate, finish looks guide.
for anyone who wants to see more of the steps in pictures there is a how to guide i made in the guides section too

no worries mate, i would recommend having someone else there to help you as it can be quite fiddley. i used the standard jack to raise the skirt up into place as a base starting point. the screws will hold it in place but the skirt will still require 'pushing in' to the car along the top edge...
yeah mate sure i will get some tomorrow. but basicly the are about an inch in from the back for the skirt (car sill), going straight up into the textured bit of body work.
to get a screw in to the rear end one i had to take the wheel off, also as my car was lowered i had to jack it up to get...
i bought this mate,

just waiting for it to arrive, if you go on their website they supply body shops so it should be decent.
as for...
do you know of any shops that sell it as i am looking to try and get the skirts fitted this weekend, which i wont be able to do if i have to order it online
will this work for gluing on my side skirt combined with self tapping screws, as i have a load in my garage, just wondering if there is much difference between this and something like tigerseal.
cheers
