1.2 clios, you may as well get a k&n for the noise. But guys on here with the 172/182 will say don't get it because it affects performance by sucking in hot air. (No offence, but on a 1.2 this won't make much difference) Go for a filter boys!:o

This runs off a cigar lighter like the others, but also has an internal battery that is charged when used. I think it can last for up to about10 hours without a recharge. I would personally go for compact at only £200 :approve:

Already fitted now, as you say it was £12 per tyre. My local Kwik fit wanted £17.50 per tyre. So all in cost would have been £255 (2tyres @ £110 each plus £17.50 fitment) I saved about £80 in the end, so still happy! :star:

Luckily for me I bought Dave's off him, so was all fitted in 50mins! :o He paid £450 for the new system, mine is 2.5" bore, but still has standard CAT on the car, so although is louder, its not excessive! Will get a few pics of mine up later! :approve:

I paid £77 a tyre (£154 for the two from mttyres.co.uk) The £24 for fitting and balancing both. Total cost £178. So about £25 less than you have been quoted. Delivery of tyres was within a week too! :cool:

Go to mytyres.co.uk, they are £77 delivered. £112, thats even more than Kwik fit!!!! 182 fitment is 205/45/r16

Better than my currect 57i K&N IK tho, as at least it is semi-enclosed :cool:

This sounds like an interesting alternative to the viper.

Thanks Andy, so what do you reckon? go for an ITG panel or go for a viper/BMC IK fitment. :S

I was unaware of the bad press that IK's had when I got my 57i, but looking to get a viper soonish. I know they are 200 notes at 2modified.:hail: May have to consider the de-cat pipe route over the next few months, but for now I am happy with the new Cat back H&S system. And Love the noise...

I was hoping a gain of 5 bhp would be possible from the drive wheels, but don't know if Im being optimistic. Does anyone have the figure of a standard 182 then? :S

Just got H&S exhaust system fitted to the 182, it has a 2.5inch bore pipe with 3.5inch exits. I also have a K&N 57i induction kit (which I know sucks in HOT air!) Looking to replace with a BMC or Viper soon Just wondered if anyone knew how many more BHP my car should be pushing out of the Fly...

Interesting points Ali, Are you saying that an Open filter with some of these mods would increase power more than having an ITG panel filter that also includes these mods? i.e it isn't so bad having an open filter after all?? :star:

Count your self lucky you have all that space to fit all that ducting pipe around the front of the engine by the grille!!!:eek:

I agree with Ali, Prospeed stuff looks good, but the quality of H&S stuff just looks that little better in my opinion!

Well what can I say, im a happy man, I met Dave from the Forum this week, and bought his H&S exhaust system off him. And I haven't stopped smiling since! I spent over an hour at the weekend polishing them up, and have turned out great. (Pics to follow) I have just got small adjustments to make...

and the acoustic valve removed. Excuse my dumbness, but is this what people refer to as the CAF? What benefits does this give my removing it? :approve:
