Try searching on the forum for these company names. there have been lots of discussions about it. I have a Hayward & Scott 3.5inch slash cut system. Very happy with it
I've got my standard headunit with RCA converter off the rear speakers, so I can power an amp for the sub. Sounds pretty good for now. However I may upgrade the headunit for a bluetooth unit soon enough.
Glad you are following the hose pipe ban;) Take the car for a good flooring, just don't get stuck in traffic as you will look a bit daft with your revs up!
As others say, it could be in idle protect mode.
Only had leaking headlight washer jet. that was replaced on warranty. Other than that, it just rattles here and there, but i just turn up the stereo. The driving pleasure far out weighs the rattles!!:approve:
Most noise is probably K&N 57i kit (I have one it sounds mad!:D ), but this is an open filter that will also suck in hot air from the crampt renault engine bay:dapprove: . Lots of people on here would probably recommend the viper for more noise and improved performance. perhaps 1-2bhp increase...
Reading through this, I assume removing the acoustic valve altogether only affects torque at low revs? Im suprised Renault even put this valve in. Very advanced!!!
May look to sell my 57i soon, as keen on power gains more than noise factor, now I have H&S exhaust fitted. (57i kits drawn in hot air, reducung performance.:dapprove:
But I must say my car is very loud with the exhaust and 57i combo!!
Probably lost a few BHP, and defo MPG. Only 26MPG around...
