Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
Book and appointment with a genius and take it to an apple store, walk out with replacement, job done.
What phone do you have?
If you have the iPhone there's nothing you can do to get the bolt on as it's been removed as a "purchasable" bolt-on, and you can't have it as the free one as your unlimited web is counted as your free one.
Which it won't, the dev tools will be crap in comparison to the iPhone and apple already had a massive online store that they leveraged to provide a decent distribution model.
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
Nobody can actually f**king download it though, it just comes up with error 8003! There's threads on the apple discussion forums, the reviews say exactly the same and even pocketgpsworld haven't been able to download it or the same reason!
I emailed apple...
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
I pressed the buy button....
...but all I get from iTunes is "Error 8003" (Network error) when it tries to download. :(
Tried downloading it on both of my Macs and here at work and all of them come up with the same problem.

I reckon it's about 100% that the TomTom cradle will not work with anything other than TomTom. It's going to have to use the accessory protocol which means unless TomTom disclose the interface to third parties, it's...
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
TomTom really have dropped the ball here, it should have been in the App store for the release of 3.0, every day that it isn't out is a crap load more sales for Navigon, the casual user who just wants to get from A to B is...
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
I read a post somewhere where somebody had a response about the iPhone version of TomTom, apparently it doesn't support the lane assist thing.
I just get the feeling that when it finally arrives it's going to be half arsed...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
I only figured out my o2 account and password yesterday and logged into my bill for the first time, those of us with the unlimited text bolt-on are in luck :)
SMS messages always come out of that and NOT the inclusive texts included...
1) You need OS X to develop on.
2) Sign up for the developer programm developer.apple.com/iphone - you can develop using the simulator for free (and learning) - you only need a paid account when you want to test on a real device and sell in the app store
There are loads of tutorials...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Nasty looking interface on BeeJive, please tell me that they're just targetting 12 year olds in the screenshots on iTunes?
Symbian is crap, infact it's beyond crap (architectually and with dev tools) - it's a relic from psion, Nokia really should have had the sense to bin it many years ago. The best thing Nokia have done in the recent past is buying trolltech and LGPLing Qt, however, they still seem to be pumping...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Unlimited = fair use.
If o2 think that you're using too much, they'll start giving you grief.
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
You have to buy them in 2 per transaction don't you? If you try to buy any amount other than 2 vouchers they'll come up at normal price.
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
