Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Fooking hell, 2 hour drive to an Apple store. What happens when you get withdrawal symptons and the shakes kick in? lol
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
If the crack is on the dock connector, make an appointment with a genius* at the apple store and they will replace it there and then.
(* note, apple geniuses may not actually be geniuses)
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Nah, the cracks at the dock connector is a known fault, I had some dints on mine that I caused when it fell from my pocket after about a month of ownership and they didn't say anything.
He looked for water damage and that was it...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
I'd expect next years phone to be a much bigger step in technology than this years step.
3.0 is highly disappointing as an software update, even more so in that most of the 3GS features have been deliberately removed from the 2G...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
I just couldn't bring myself to sign a 24 month phone contract, 18 months is taking the piss these days imo.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Still, it'd be funny if there's a queue and you roll up and a pick it straight up! Riot? However, if there was a riot, at least you'd be able to record it on video! lol
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
It's almost worth taking the day off to go down the the o2 stores to laugh and mock them in the queue. lol
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
I had it working, but they released an update and it wiped the username and passsword, and I can't be arsed to figure it out again.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
It is. Prior to 3.0 the only way to turn off SMS preview was to enable the passcode lock. It should have been available as a separate option from the start.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Yeah, this was a major gripe for me until I had to relent and put passcode lock on, my missus would send text filth and it'd be there for anybody to see, quite why they didn't implement this in V2 was odd in itself.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
Ahh! :D
Feck knows how people are going to manage without the unlimited texts bolt on, sure glad I have it!
