I've got used to the differences between my (old) 182 and my (new) 197.. In fairness the 197 doesnt feel as "Raw" but make no mistake it is as quick, Work the box and hammer it past 5k and it'll pull like theres no tomorrow - Plus the 197 sounds sex tbh
I doubt having a minor residue of oil in the plenum will be a problem as it'll burn in time or be sucked into the combustion chamber and be burnt, Im no expert but from the schematics of things it cant be a big problem unless it was pis*sing oil in
I used to run a Powertec IK from K-Tec on my 182, sounded awesome but as many say no gain to be had, I used to clean it regular though but i never had muck like that in my throttle body... Could be from the breather like others have said

I was at the south Mimms meet last weekend and had a good chat with the boys from JMS Tuning about this heatsoak business, Ok so we know the colder the air the denser it is but if you think about it the engine bay temp is prob around...
On my 182 just above the clocks and stuff you can see a square like cut out in the glass, Was told that was for better reception on GPS, Not sure how true this is as dont use satnav often but when i did i had no reception problems

Ok so i've had the 197 a week now bar it being in the spray shop for the last 3 days ! So had it in theory for 4 days, Upgraded the headunit today but i've noticed as with the standard headunit i've got no sound in the rear of the car ? I bought it used so have to deal with the car i got but...
Its defo value for money, I know Pioneer & Alpine are much better than Sony but because im not into the whole audio game no more i just needed something a bit better than standard and this fits the bill perfectly, £145 including the 197 / MK3 faceplate so not bad at all tbh
