Cheers for the reply.
I've really not got a great deal of technical experience, is it simply a case of unbolting the shocks and swapping them over? It's the bolts that come through in the engine bay and the boot right? :o
After reading a bit on here I've decided to go for Apex springs on their own as I can't really afford the whole kit.
I've (rather Mitch did on another post :D ) found this site: http://www.venommotorsport.com/shop/Suspension/LoweringSprings/Apex/index.html
Which seems fairly cheap, 80 odd...
Cheers Mitch, I'll consider it but as I'm on a tight budget might just go for the springs on their own. 35/40mm drop should be ok on standard shocks shouldn't it?
Looks fly, how much was it? Do you struggle with speedbumps? I can't go 5 minutes down the road without encountering some vicious ones.
Anyone got that video hosted where it can be downloaded rather than having to watch it in the putfile window?
This isn't completely picture related but by how much is your car lowered Mitch? Are they stock springs on your model or did you buy some aftermarket ones? I'm looking to lower my car, sticks out like a sore thumb in some of those photos, looks about a foot taller than the cars around it!
Anyone have trouble getting theirs to unlock when they bought it? They've sent me the code and either the codes wrong or I'm not doing it right 'cos I cannot get this b*****d to unlock. Any tips from anyone who's already done it? I have read the instructions before anyone suggests it ;)

On the subject, how much would someone (me :o ) be looking at to drop a bigger engine into their car? I saw a link someone put up to a 5 Turbo engined mk2 clio the other day.. How much was that for example if anyone knows?
I've been thinking about it as I've got no real desire to change cars...
Anyone know of a decent person/company (that isn't Halfords) that charges reasonable prices to install/fix audio stuff in the North London area? My radio's on the blink, want to get it fixed up a.s.a.p. but don't really wanna go to Halfords.
Cheers,
Rob.
Right ho.. another day of trying to get the stereo back in the hole after a 30 second wire hook up job.. the amount of wires on the back of it makes it difficult to get in right.. Cheers anyway.

My understanding of the setup was that the amp would be on all the time without the remote cable, the remote cable just tells it to turn off when the ignition goes off. Someone clarify? Cheers for the response though..
Hi,
I'm having trouble with my amp, it doesn't seem to want to power on at all. I was just wondering does it actually need to be fully plugged into the remote on switch on the headunit to turn on? Reason for this question is that I've run the power cable from the battery to the boot and just...
Aha! Simple enough for me to understand, awesome job. Now I'm interested in this cigar lighter business, which is the wire I'm looking for, and I simply just tap into it and hook up my remote wire? I'll get the father to do this I think sounds too complicated for me already.. Thanks for your...
I don't wanna put the live power cable through the remote terminal though do I?! :S
You're saying [switch]----[fuse]----[remote terminal]? What I was thinking it would be was [battery]--(fuse)--[switch]----[batt. terminal]?
Could you explain how this switchable live thing actually works so...
As per my other post, I've got a problem in that I've got an old head unit and it doesn't have a remote out. I've given up trying to guess which is the switchable live into the back of it 'cos I don't want to bugger anything up so that leads me on to this question (unless of course someone can...
I'm in the same situation, no remote out on the head unit which is some 1980's Clarion banger (I'm not sure it's from the 80's but it might as well be as far as technological advancements are concerned, it doesn't even have RCA ports; I had to buy a lineout convertor from Motor World). How the...
