Car has just developed this!
I've Searched for similar faults but found nothing of use.
Car just idles like a sack of crap! Blip the throttle and let off and it can sometimes drop too 300rpm..
Did cut out twice this morning. It drive fine and idles fine if u hold it at 1000rpm.

I've not run it till it's empty
Just topped up and took for a 15 min drive
Temp never wet above half
Oil was fine no Mayo
Coolant is spotless
Heaters worked fine
Leak
Headgasket was done as it threw a cambelt and had the head rebuilt (I believe) I've spoke to a member on here from another forum and they said it could just be the coolant levelling out as alot if pipes would of been removed!
I remember this happened on my hybrid and tool a good few weeks to...
My coolant level keep dropping to halfway after a few days driving!
No Mayo on the dipstick and a tiny dots worth under the filler cap which I put to condensation!!
Cars not overheating and the heaters work fine!
Is this a common thing not the f4r engines??
Any ideas what it could be?
I agree mate, no it's not an obligation but when I have my 2.0l mk1 hybrid you tend to get ignored..

But failing that, yes they can mate but it's probably more effort than it's worth
