Yes, and then the car would fail it's mot for having none working fogs, unless u blanket off the switch. If there's no switch they can't test it.. As I was told by a friendly mot tester. When my fogs didn't work but had the switch. I simply swapped it for a blank so they couldn't test it :)

Also illegal and old bill will have a field day... They pull everyone over down here for having there fogs on

Right the problems persist with the 172! It idles like a right sack of s**t! I just changed the idle valve and that sorted it for about 5 mins, when it's cold it keeps cutting out slow down and come to a junction, dead, dip the clutch dead! Lumpy piece of s**t. Any ideas what it could be?
