yes, im sure it wont be worse, you could prob spec a cup to a higher standard than a basic 197, including recaros for cheaper than a basic 197. me thinks the standard car is going to be obscelite soon
are you buying the car not knowing its performance figures? or are you just wanting one of the 1st white 197's and taking a gamble with the performance
yes it does, 2 psi higher, but i leave it at that anyway because theres a lot of dual carriageways i use daily. Well I 'll see what mpg it does on paper, i dont trust the computer and post it on. Like i said no rush, 60-65 which is real world, 56 in an ideal world but im a believer that causes...
No, im in no rush, and theres no need to buy a diesel, I do this journey every blue moon. Just was keen to see whether it would ever get above 30mpg. What about cruise control? when ive used it before it seems to make more throttle adjustments than i probably would and doubt its economical
Im about to head off on a 300 mile round trip. Is pumping my tyres up to higher psi gonna make any difference to my fuel economy. Its all motorway and duel carriageway. And does cruise contol prove to be economical or not....any facts or opinions on a postcard....... thanks
hopefully they will make it a standard coulour choice now? they wont sell any cups, so all that white paint will be sat in a corner...... unless its all used up on r26's
Dont do it!!! The new car experience aint that great. I got sucked into that one! Will you keep the car for 4 years? doubt it ! So when you change, the debt goes up again! Pay this one off 1st. The 197 is good but not doubling the debt good. £50 a month isnt that much extra. But put that away...
if you are struggling to find them PM me and ill take some pics. They are carpet mats, with Clio written on drivers side. Im impressed with them, but the drivers one is very unsecure and slips a lot, so ive added some velcro strips to the bottom and its sorted it
Im gonna save up for some black wheels i think with the silver rim. not started looking yey. maybe carbon front splitter and leave it at that i think. cheers 4 comments
The TT was poor mate.... really poor, on long sweeping bends, brilliant, but a vauxhall astra is good on long bends. Show it anything tight and it understeered. Changed all 4 tyres, uprated front bushes, nothing changed it. I thought I would get used to the 1.8t engine, but that was too dam hard...
Do miss my audi, it was a bad replacement for the 172, but it was still a gorgeous car to look at, shame they are a crap drive. Love my 197 though!!!

Fletch, if you can keep it and insure/run them both then go for it. I think sometimes that I could sell my 197 and buy a mint 172 or 182 with none of the problems mine had and bank the difference or spend a bit of it fixing any of the problems. Its a tough one but I think it would be hard for...
Yes.... I do miss my 172, what you lose in the raw driving experience, you make up for in looks and quality feel. In the 197 I feel a class above, meaning when i see a golf gti, im not bothered any more, dont feel like im in supermini class. Tbh your 172 might not be worth that much now in cash...
http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/clioaccessories/reartailpipetrims.asp would anyone bother with these do you think? or leave them as standard if not buying an after market exhaust?
