solenoid most likely. However if you have been bump starting it that should effectively do the same as wacking it with a hammer.

Just sounds like it's sticking mate. Might be the cold weather? Or it's on the way out.

I wouldn't go for uprated ones to be honest. Just renew the standard ones. You need to have some flex in the engine unless it's a dedicated track car.

It's is a strong little beast. Matts boys know how to build cracking engines :) it'll be interesting to see what yours pulls.

Where are you located? Sounds like a wiring issue causing the ecu to say there is an issue hence immobilising the car. Signal tolerances are quite fine. Have you checked relays? Are you positive all the fuses ( most likely the big ones)?

Mine was identical to that, but louder. The guy thought there was something else wrong. It was that knackered the cam was rattling no matter what revs. I too had the belt changed three times in the space of 2 months.

Have you fixed the issue with the wiring? Is the immobiliser active on your dash?

Under the scuttle panel drivers side. It's a thin black plastic box. Filter goes in vertical. One screw to take the lid off iirc

The latter unfortunately mate. I fell foul of the same thing.

Ap kit is not far off the price of these iirc. Probably matts suggestion as they are used on the cup cars
