Ive just rolled over 14,000 miles and still on the original contis :o I swapped the fronts with the rears at about 12k (wish Id done it at about 8k) and ive done a few trackdays too. Will need replacing soon tho (hence wish i reversed earlier)

Maybe renault did a good job with the standard stuff therefore you are replacing it will lesser equipment?

Ive no idea but you certainly feel the power kick in at around the 5k rpms - not as much as a turbo but you know when you hit 5k.

The actual limit will come on around 6750-7250rpms depending on how warm the engine/oil is. But the peak power it before this, something like 6250. I guess the reason for reving higher is that when you change up a gear you from drop to around 5000rpms so that you remain in the power band?

If I remember right you turn them on and off twice with the ignition on, similar to disabling the auto-lights.
