They definitely self clear once there's no fault in my experience. When I fitted seats /wheels in the past I've often forgot to order resistors, run for a few days with the airbag light on, fit resistors and the light goes out.

My head unit has CarPlay and Android auto. Android version is miles ahead atm. Voice search works perfectly, Google maps is very good. It's still too limited, they need to get more apps adapted.

I've put Continental cs5 on the octavia. Very grippy, much better traction than the kumhos that it came with.

Ps3's are over rated imo, the ps2 was a better performance tyre. Iirc the ps3 replaced the pilot exalto, and the super sport the ps2. Continental 5's are good, Hankook are brilliant for the money.

It's a silly argument. Turbo fan boys always use power as the criteria to justify turbos being better, because it favours turbos. But if you use torque, everyone would prefer a na motor. Ie turbo lump with 300lbft versus petrol with the same? No contest.

I think the dsg unit is more prone to problems beyond 100k. Get one with sensible miles and you're minimizing chances of problems. But it's an enthusiast owned car a lot of the time. I've always sold my cars privately. Bar the 2 that had issues, which I moved on to dealers. Maybe I'm wrong, but...
