The 423 make power up to about 7800. Will 422 it will be a bit less. I don't know why you want 8000rpm?! Again, why the bigger valves? The standard valve size is good for more power than 421 give. They won't be in choke so it's pointless. I'd say even with 423 they would still be a pointless upgrade

Cam snob! Nothing wrong with reprofiled cams whatsoever. You won't notice any difference in performance or cam life between reprofiled and blanks, all it does is save you money.

You'll need forged pistons or some other way of gaining valve clearance for anything bigger than 421. Piper now do a BP285 cam which is similar to 421s. Its £300ish for them to be reprofiled. I've got the one below that (BP270) which makes 207bhp on mine with ITBs so with the 285 you should...

I found the system pretty quiet with the cat still in place and the centre silencer. I replaced the centre silencer with a smaller one and fitted a decat, it's louder but still not that loud. I also found that a proper tail pipe is quieter in the car than a stealth system.
