Me too tbh. Only problem is the latest software hasn't been rooted yet. You have to stop your device updating as soon as you open it and plug it in to be able to root. The issue is the interface is the limiting factor on the AFTV. Everything else is superb.

Using airplay yeah. I've not tested the app myself but all it does is enable AirPlay on the Amazon fire TV. Only gripe with everything so far is the fact you can't view media on a USB drive without rooting the device.

Fair enough but you could just run a hub that uses USB for both power and data? That would fill the Pi's slots but give you a lot more ports. Also makes it more expandable in future if needed.

Link the button to a shutdown command on the Pi. Pretty simple really. Raspbmc also has the shutdown command. Bottom left of the screen is the I/O button.

That's ridiculous. It's still OS X it's more a service pack than a new OS. Still XP programs still work on 7. So there is no reason Mac OS programs shouldn't follow the same principle.
