I use Megs brush, find it's fine as long as you make sure it's not soaking wet. End of the day any brush isn't going to remove a vast amount of brake dust, but they do a good job of loosening it up.
I jetwash them then spray with AG Wheel Cleaner, leave it on for a few minutes and then use an...
I'm with you on the syncing side of things, I'll tell you when to sync thank you!
Much prefer to have a phone seperate to an iPod personally, if only for battery purposes, and Apple being homo's make it impossible on the move to swap to a spare battery.
First time I've seen 4 Sports on my commute to work, saw 3 coming down the A5 at 7:55am this morning, almost in convoy but for a few cars - 172 Cup, Silver 172 and a Monaco 172.
Then saw a Black 182 on the M69 leaving at M6 junction this morning, was missing a wing mirror SA54 plate.
(I was in...
Looks quite nice, apart from the corners. Looks as though it doesn't follow the line of the bumper properly but for 1/5th the cost of a KTR CF splitter it's not a bad compromise.
But B pillars look shocking.
Fred, tried PMing you just now but your inbox is full, can you empty it please? (mwaahh)
But you should perhaps enable people to send emails via your profile, as they're disabled as it stands.
Red has no clearcoat on it which is why it's prone to oxidation.
I'd be careful about hosing the engine tbh, better off using a vapouriser and working on small areas at a time. After you've finished take it out for a rag and dry it all out.
It should have an alarm, they're fitting when they come into the UK at dockside. Doesn't it have the sensors on the A pillars, or the red LED next to the gearstick?
Cobra = UK standard alarm, alarm button on key.
Sigma = UK import alarm, additional key fob.
(Import cars won't have window etching, or locking wheel nuts as standard, oh and there's bugger all difference in prices really)
Rallye have a better wear rate than the Rainsport simply due to a harder compound.
They're nothing like as good as PE2 for wear in my experience, but they're a lot better tyre in the wet than PE2 (which frankly I think are shite for aquaplaning), horses for courses.
On a 172/182FF I'd use 95RON happily, but as the 172Cup is a supercar I'd use 104RON race fuel only!
On a serious note, it will make no difference at all.
Cheers folks, kinda glad I took some time to do it due to the impending weather.
For those who understood my sarcasm, I didn't actually use Evian water...it was Volvic ;)
Anyway, anybody in the midlands who wants theirs detailing by all means PM me and I'll pop around. Just a shame I didn't...
I disagree, quick drive of the car and a 5 minute inspection (whip wheel off) would uncover any real problems.
Apart from the tracking which is probably worth doing on any car over 2-3 years old I reckon anything else would be apparent. Long as the rod ends are fine and there's no hub damage...
Well gave the Bean a bit of TLC over the last day or so and took a few crappy photos on my K810 so neither the colour or detail is very good but best I could do.
Anyway processes:
-Jetwashed.
-Cleaned using Evian mineral water & Megs Nxt using the 8 bucket technique.
-Dried using Megs water...
I washed, clayed, udm'd mine yesterday and by the time I'd finished it was 4:30pm and my roof had frozen over.
Got to go back out today and put some EGP on it, otherwise the whole thing was fking pointless. Although claying it was soooo good, spotless now :)
