Hey trev thanks for checking,
regardin the fuse il check that this afternoon, and also the tdc sensor is a new one but im not 100% sure that they are in the correct order as renault have changed the colour of the wires, but il check that aswell,
il update more this afternoon as im off....
Henk asked me for my Vin for the Actualy car, even tho i had mentioned i did a conversion over email(when i purchased the licence) and he said no it wont do, then refunded me, the vin of were the engine came out of is VFICBIN . so i flogged it on here,
Exactly what i had been telling henk, heres the thread i did in fastchip's trader's section http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=460216&page=2
Tuner couldnt work on my car because the Vin for the actual car is CB05 which is not supported, i dont understand how but Henk said no lol, so i sold it.
Here you go Trev,
As you can see there are some empty slots but there are no Pins inside to take a fuse..
& cheers lads, your input is very usefull, hopefully we can get this b**ch of a car sorted :)
Ye i get what your saying, The fuse/relay hoder came with fuses in allready which had some damaged so these have been changed, some 50amps one did snap also replaced,
Underneath was a white connection block which connect to another which then leads into the engine bay, Il try and source a...
i am, and the injectors are spraying,
12v feed goin into the coilpack its just not earthing through the plugs (take what f0xy has posted before)
if you were in this situation, what would be the things you would check over?
earth straps?
starter?
Only things i got from steve was the engine etc, i asked him for ecu keys etc which i gather was a set he had spare.
Fitted the engine into my car but running 1.2 gear like fred, changed all the inside loom, fitted ecu etc and it wouldnt turn over, sorted that out with a earth cable, and it...
The first set i got was when i bought the engine from steve.
the 2nd set is for a 172 cup, which i bought from RM_Bailey on here recently. now that wont start the car either, which i was absolutly stumped because they all came off the car 1 week then next week it was in mine :S
The ph1 stuff...
Willy, what would i need to ditch this ph2 and go for ph1 style?? ..
- entire inside loom..
- engine bay loom
- Ph1 throttle body
- ecu/uch ingiton barrel the lot.
- accelertion pedal
- Throttle body (cable operated)
is that it ye? also will it all work with my ph2 engine tho?
Oh im not dissing andrew atall, i have very small knowledge on it tbh, so more info i get is helpfull when i try and explain to other people..
Im the same as andrew then as its coming up to 5months now, and still no running car.
Ye i have all that down on a word document from Jord,
So if Andrew is correct that pin 58 is Cruise control then i dont have to worry about fixing that, but il remove the emulator and try it again.. guy hasnt mentioned that the emu wont work with the ecu atall..
Email back from the dude..
Hi yes thats the correct Emulator..
1, decode the Ecu
2, Add an emulator (this sends an ok signal but no code) doesnt need a code as the ecu has been decoded (no code stored)
3, cut the immo line from the dash/bsi to the ecu (this will mean the car immo system cant...
How could i make it into a ph1 setup tho, that would mean i need to change all the wiring again, change the throttle body so that its cable operated and a bunch ov other stuff..
& no, i wont go halves with you on that, even tho it would be cheaper and could do it to other people im sure it...
I have had the car turning over before i got the ecu virginised, since done it and emulator fitted i havnt had any luck..
just waiting for a answer back from the guy now..
@ Andrew, you say pin 58 is Cruise control? yet the guide says its a Engine Immob system.. now i either have the wrong...
Ah b****cks,
Iv sent a email to tek-tronicks to see what he says regarding the code beeing transfered even tho its not compatible with the ecu, if it has taken the code then it will have to be sent again to Rstuning to get done, and hopefully i can switch the pin section over to the other ecu...
When i got the Ecu back, the first thing i did was open it up to see were the emulator needed to fit, then i hit a wall as there was no wires inside. I Pm'd jord(f0xy) and he then gave me information on how to fit it,
So basicly no i havnt fitted the ecu straight on after virginising it to the...
Engine Harness? is it like 2 white blocks you have to connect and its under the fuse holder in the bay? ..
ye that earth is connected as i left it in when i removed the old engine.
@ Wilky, how would i test the continuity of the loom?
Bare in minde that everything else works on the loom...
il have to take a day off this week when its not raining to sort it out now as its just close to 5months :@
Howmany earth straps are in the entire engine bay? i counted 3. .(main strap by gearbox, one on the driver side near the brake fluid pot + one close to the starter ..)
could relay's...
right ok, this is gettin very confusing now tbh,
surely as what trev said to get a set of ecu etc from steve that will not solve the issue in this case, which makes me even more stuck now,
i have to admit theres alot of lose wires in the bay that do sweet f.a (abs connector, and a few other i...
righ let me clear a few things up...
the uch,ecu ignition barrel the lot are from a 172 cup, and this ecu has been unlocked ...(purchased from rm bailey on here)
now i have another set of uch ecu etc which i got from steve79 back in may, now this did work but only turned the engine over but no...
How am i meant to get it workin with the Uch tho?
if i remove the emulator and try and change the pin 58 over, re-connect the ecu, it should fire up ye? or no ?
i have no idea what i could be tbh, but if it was overfuelling then you would get the fuel smell in the bay,
Not sure were the fuel rail is on the 1.2 8v but could you try and see if the fuel line that attaches to it has started to leak.
