Looks like I need to buy the ABS software for my RS Tuner or get a decent diagnostic machine to open the ABS Pumps Valves as it maybe air in the pump .
I guess I will sort out any remaining jobs like aerocatches and fitting of the harnesses and check for leaks
can you just buy the ABS software and load it on or do you have to specify originally on order ?
Ive not bought a license to load a 98 ron map yet so can I link it to my car ?
Yeah still have abs boys , abs light is on ! Car has been on drive years and had no calipers for a while !
Thought it must be summit as the pedal just doesn't get hard !
Had to put on hold but got abit done this weekend .
New seats are in , just need to drill holes for harnesses .
Done the helicoil on the oil gallery .
Adjusted the gear linkage so now have 5 gears and reverse .
Having problems bleeding the brakes because it's been dry for alongtime !
Me and my mate have been trying to bleed my clio 172 today , the car has been off the road for years and has had new calipers fitted so the system has been dry for some time ! We've put new fluid in today and spent
Afew hours trying to bleed the system unsucessful . The new fluid has gone...
Car will be taxed ans MOT at the end of the Month .
My seats arrived on Tuesday and need to fit aerocatches on bonnet and bleed the brakes.
Electrical issues sorted and brand new lamda sensors fitted also
I bought a new gasket for the Thermostat housing but I am still getting a leak from the bottom right hand corner.
I have found that the thread has slightly stripped so this one bolt in the bottom will not tighten up !
What should I do ? Do I need to get hole tapped ?
Or could I use some...
I'm changing the front one first as I believe this one controls the fuel mixture ?
The one after the CAT is purely a signal to the dash light I was told ?
I've got a new gasket for mine as i have same issue .
can somebody tell me torque values .
One of tr bolts doesn't want to tighten very well !
is there some form of sealant you can use in conjunction with the gasket ?
It's now running ! Two cores were damaged in the loom !
it was idling at 4000 rpm , I have sorted this now , re-seated the inlet and re-tightened and cured it .
Moving in the rite direction now
Throtte body I bought off here is no good !
Put mine back in .
Just need to sort these 2 vauccum lines and it should idle ok then .
wil have alook when I get home
Yeah its a ph2 and thankyou for the info guys.
Hopefully I can now get this car on the road at last :-)
Im going to dig my standard airbox out , what panel filter should I get ?
No its purely a weekend fun car .
It has a racing clutch , full vibratechnics race mounts , race suspension , 8 POT calipers , and totally stripped .
The brakes are too good for traffic , I went to work in it one day !
Ive got the Kouki front bumper and Greddy Splitter still to be fitted and my new alloys on order.
Its only done 55,000 miles and is running A Garrett GTX2867 Turbo , Just been mapped by Greg at Pro-tuner.
It made 384 BHP at 1.3 bar , the turbo can do 2.2 bar :-)
I have seem to have lost the crash panel bolts which screw onto the top . Any ideas what size I need ?
Also the big dogbone bolt . I have a bolt at home but unsure if its the correct one or not !
What would you use a bolt or soemthink ?
Would that cause it to idle at 4000 rpm or would this be likely to be idle control valve ?
No faults on dash or scanner apparently so I am assuming a vacumm issue
sorry for my lack of knowledge
I see what should I do with it ? I have an induction kit but im going to put the standard airbox back on.
Also the carbon canister has been chucked , do I need another one of the fitted as I assume this could affect it also ?
Ay advice would be good
cheers
Do replacement throttle body need programming ?
My car is now running but its idling at 4000 rpm so my mate is going to try fit my original throttle body which was on car originally .
Anythink else to check ? I know I haven't blanked the vacuum line which is located at front of the inlet ...
My mate has got it running , he found two cores damaged , they had gone green so that's 2 of 3 fault gone now.
Still got a throttle body fault , I swapped my throttle body for one I bought of here so hes going to try my original to see if that sorts that.
Do the throttle body have to be...
