Hi, I joined not o long ago and have now started a proper search for a 172 cup. I was just wondering if anyone knew any 172 cups for sale. All specs,etc considered but I'm not after anything that's caged. Does anyone know of anything around other than whats on here, e bay or gumtree, autotrader...

hmmm..sold this morning! oh well.

I only seem to see ones for sale in the north of england which is miles from me. This one is much closer, but what's with the air con? Am I right in thinking it was a fairly expensive option on a 172 cup? Also, the rust...if its gone infront of teh rear arch is it likely gone elsewhere...

p.s. any thoughts on one to find one other than pistonheads, here, facebook, autotrader, gumtree,etc

Hi Bill You raise a good point, there could be a long list of crap on it to sort out. Plus it was odd as it was advertised as one lady owner but being sold by a bloke and appeared to be in some sort of industrial estate type place....but who knows! The mot list was weeping shocks, front ball...

dunno, havent contacted him as its a hell of a long way away from me! I hadnt noticed the plate, but youre right! he's blanked them all out apart from the one shot from the back! Why do people blank out plates in adverts? seems like a waste of time.

Just a nice road car for me. I think I got my trackday stuff out of my system a few years ago to be honest. Ferrying kids about seems to mean I have no time to do that sort of thing nowadays anyway! I've lots of time for spannering,etc and to be honest, I find that I enjoy that nowadays as much...
