well a clio race team told me it wasnt but if fred says it is then it is. I think he can smell and tase my car from home. Some say he runs on ron 98, some say when he goes to the pub he drinks 5 30 all we know.......... HES CALLED FRED

ive looked at dephaser vids and mine is no way as loud as that

i know bout the diesel sound but exactly where is the sound coming from???

you can pinpoint the noise if you stick a screwdriver on and put your ear to it

when the dephaser is shot does the noise come from it or not

hold a screwdriver on the cam cover and stick you ear on it

ive got exact same noise. was told it was dephaser but i took it to trc near me and they said it wasnt. have you got noise from your dephaser???

well ive flushed it out and put 10 40 magnatec oil in and its still making the noise

just got back from tcr and they say its defo not the dephaser. they suggested my oil is too thin. got to give it a flush use a thicker oil and genuine filter

no not at all. just took it out and still got the 5k revs kick

just phoned them and im waiting for a call back

ive just had another look now its light and there is defo no noise coming from the dephaser. Its coming from under the cam cover directy under the coilpack. I dont want to change the dephaser to find i still got this problem

is it renault only for dephaser or is there sum1 on here that can get it me and the timing tools cheaper??
