i know i did my belts 5k ago but will i have to change the lot again??

i know, when i did my cambelt the camshaft slots were fubard so i went to his unit and he sold me some.

well now im thinking about takin the vvt out and fast road cams

will i be ok to drive it????

i thought that but there is no noise from the dephaser pulley itself

Just bin out and could hear this feint noise. Got home under the bonnet ant there is a tapping noise right across the cams. Here is a quick vid off my phone My phone does make it sound louder than it is and seems to be louder towards the exhaust cam

its defo not the track rod ends.

I had a feeling there was something up with my steering over the past few days so i had a look today to find that both drivers side and passenger side have play in the rack. Not 100% sure if its the tie rods. Ive also read on here about steering rack bushes and a adjuster that should stop play...

Ive searched the net about this and cant seem to find anybody thats done this. My mates mk1 meggy with 1.6 16v engine has give up the ghost, so instead of just dropping another lump in we are looking to drop a F4R into it. I know id need the obvious like loom, ecu and the engine but what else...

My mate has a mk 1 megane 1.6 16v and the engine is fubard. Would it be possible to put a 172 engine in it. If so what would be needed from the donor car. If it gonna be to much hassle then we will just drop another 1.6.16v in it

Oh well its happened. Its not locking now. Is there a way I can lock it manualy to secure it for now?
