Yeah that stupid bit of metal covering the loom is damaging, its loose to rattles around and causes friction to the wires, causing them to rip to shreds/burn the plastic covering the wires. Mine was rubbing away, so covered it with electrical/insulation tape and it worked a treat. Had the car...

This may help, but i think this time round, i decided to bend the 'teeth' on the cage inwards so that the head unit would lock in place and won't budge... :/

Tried taking out my headunit so i can install my sub, but it wasn't budging! I've used the keys that come with the headunit, but only can get one side out. I think i was too overexcited in fitting the headunit, that i've locked it really well! Any ideas or tips of getting it out? Thanks Haz
