Anyone own or used one of these?

Want to buy a speed camera detector to save me from any possible fines and points.

This seems good tho, as it has FREE life long updates!

Any good? Or stay away?

I'm always sceptical about the databases used for the speed cameras. I'd be inclined to pick up a tomtom used on eBay, and download the database from pocketgpsworld. About £10 per yr (iirc) but it's updated monthly and pretty accurate in my experience.
