Mine would also have to be a Monaco 172..... Worst mistake ever selling that car. Wish I could find her and buy her back. Someone should start a "find my old Monaco" thread and we could both find our monacos!
Yeah I gave it a full service the other week. Also gave it a new coil pack and leads too. Still no good.
Could it be any of the following:-
MAP sensor fault
Lambda fault
ICV fault
A dirty throttle body
I can't think of anything else!!
Right an update to this thread. This car is driving us both mental!! The garage we bought it from have conducted repairs (allegedly a new intake manifold) and have said the car is now fixed and any more repairs will b at our expense. Well guess what. Cars still fucked. I'm running out of ideas...
Lol yeah I'm not keen on my exhaust tbh..... Doesn't look right!
And no didn't know he had a trans Am!! That's ace, what age is it? I've been wanting a trans am for YEARS! Might have to ask for a nosey next time I'm down there (my belts need doing soon!)

On idle the car surges and drops as though its gaining and losing power, but after taking it to a garage it seems the air intake manifold is cracked and seeping air in or something so the engines flooded with air and not enough petrol to compensate. (sorry just replying on her behalf)
Here's a couple of mine. Please ignore the vile wheels in the second pic. They have been replaced now. Second pox was purely to show how low it is when ya got a car full!!!
