What? thats loads better than mine. My guage has never read more than 34Mpg and usually hovers around the 29-31 range.

A Manual boxed one would probs be pretty close, they do go well. However the triptronic system is shockingly slow on them so i dont think there would be much contest with the clio there.

I think fair play to you mate I had my first 205 1.9 Gti at 17 (although didnt put it on the road till my 18th birthday) It had webbers, cams, exhaust, the lot. If you can afford it then go for it, just make sure you weigh up all the costs, petrol (it drinks it) i get about 29MPG on average...

I personally wouldnt skimp on brakes, they can come in useul ;)

mine are a vast improvrment, Handling is 100% better with more stability and less roll in the corners, comfort is slightly compromised but i wouldnt say it was harsh or bumpy. More than happy with mine, the best mod ive done, (but it is also the first mod ive done) :o
