ur best off getting a van/diesel car battery. not expensive and does the trick. i was running two 10" infinity Kappas and two pioneer amps which pulled alot of power and caused all the lights to dim when i turned it up. got my self a tranny van battery...eh voila! no more dimming!
infinity...
mmmm this is strange, even if it was the rain catcher the water wudnt get onto the rocker cover as the vent is directly above the manifold. i havent got a rain catcher on mine at the mo as it fell off and lost it down the a6 somewhere!
what you could do is put a container on ur engine block...
after all the comments good and bad i think that no body expected it to turn out like it did. personally i thinks its reall nice!!! im not a major fan of vastly modified cars, but its just looks right with the colour, the wheels and the smoothed look. a definate 1 off!!! good job mate.

it could be your fuel pump mate. They kick in for a few seconds when you turn the key then go off. then obviously come back on again when the engine is running.
rite just checked it out and its way overcharging! its running at 16volts idle and 15volts with lights and blowers on!
gonna get it checked out 2day, asked one of techies at work he said could be an alternator fault! grrrr god dam cars!!! lol
thats right, strange as it sounds thats wot resolved the problem! ive never known anything like it but it worked!
very odd, i noticed it on the way home, then i went out to check the earths all seemed ok, confused i was jus checking everything else and the coolant bottle was more or less...
all sorted!!!!
i swaped the engine coolant at the weekend, and hadnt put enuff back in!!! its amazing how much goes in there! lol well filled the expansion tank up let it run through and it was fine. lights stay bright now! strange resolution to it but it did the trick! hope i havent done any...
rite, ok well i'll check all the earths do mean like all the earths on the loom?? or just one coming off the battery?
in the mean time if anybody else has an ideas just post!!!
cheers Daz!!
yeh blowers were on, and you could here them going slower wen the revs dropped. sounds were off tho
but if it was the alternator, wouldnt the battery warning light come up on the dash?
i was sat at the lights on the way home from work and was jus faffing about listening to my exhaust. i was looking at my rev counter at the time and as the revs drop and it sits idle the lights dim slightly inside and out????????
and when i rev it again they brighten up agen!
bad earth...

Right mate......
pics are here! the black plastic bit that comes off the throttle body is from a laguna, and i saw it pointless slapping a filter on the end of that. So i extended it with some aluminum ducting secured with some trusty jubilee clips!!
Then positioned in that small gap next to...

the piece u require will be off a laguna probly the same year as your clio and the same engine size obviously. it bolts on top of the throttle body in place of the airbox then added a cone filter in the end. i...

Anyway, i raced my mate in his 318i and kicked his ass! but..... i burnt the clutch to hell and it stank for bout 10 minutes after. Now it slips wen i...
It isnt the standard exhaust but it was put on the car before i bought it. its a full stainless unsure of make. but as the mongoose system im buying is built for my now valver, coupled with a decat i imagine i will notice some gains!
Any thoughts anyone?
