arctic blue 182 Cup SC54 summat parked outside Specsavers in sunny Warrington around 11am...
silver V6 Mk 1 on the main road near Demon Tweeks with a strange number plate which I've completely forgotten... around 5.20pm.
and I've nearly done 12,000 miles in my 172 and nobody's spotted me yet...
I've cycled up it!
The usual tourist trick is to try and take the hairpins in too high a gear and then they roll backwards when they try and change down mid-corner  Sit at the hairpin left/hairpin right on the west side, hours of entertainment guaranteed.
bloody southerners :rasp:
the main problem on Wrynose/Hardknott is ramblers... 1000's of sq miles of mountains and paths to walk on but most of them insist on wandering down the middle of the road and then giving disapproving looks as you pass them at 12mph.
aye, did 72,000 miles in my 1.6 in 3 years... 5 big Euro trips in that, the rest mainly travelling up and down UK for my rallying stuff. I've only done 11,000 in 7 months in the 172... haven't been abroad in it yet though!
Get yourself on a ferry then!!
I love driving abroad, not as much traffic/speed cameras and better roads. Well apart from in Belgium :dead:
There should be a Cliosport "Tour de France", maybe Calais down to Reims and across to Le Mans :D
That Clio had 5,000 miles on the clock within a month of me owning it :o I drove it to near the Austria/Czech border then toured round Austria then went across to central France and drove round there a bit. I haven't had time to take the 172 abroad yet but hopefully will sort something for...
I've just been looking through some old pics so thought I'd post a few of my previous Clio :D
Reims...
Reims again...
French countryside...
erm... think this was in France too...
hopefully the handbrake is working  .. Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße in Austria...
Some from the "Rally Isle of Man" last week... unfortunately the Clio broke early on so I only saw it on 2 stages :dapprove: ... and the Corolla pic is cos I like the pic... and see page 40 of Motorsport News mag this week and you'll see they liked it too ;)
Aye it's been driven alright, spent Thursday to Saturday doing the stages of the "Rally Isle of Man" as well as a couple of blasts over the mountain bit of the TT course... fantastic place and fantastic roads :D
Mikkelson was in his "tarmac" spec Focus?
SD Roy and Martyn lucky to get out of the 205, they were trapped in and had to smash the window to get out with the car on fire. Martyn was airlifted to hospital with internal bleeding, had an op last night :(
A few rally ones I like from the last 12 months or so :D
Ex-Tony Pond 6R4, my fave rally car ever....
Focus WRC showers me with stones...
Impreza WRC gets the arse out on the Isle of Man...
Airborne 911...
Mk2 Escort makes a splash in Scotland...
Car p**n :D
Didn't you pass Traws on your NW night run?! It's full name is Trawsfynydd but I can never spell it right so write Traws instead. It's turn right in Bala then along that lovely road for a few miles, left at T junction to the holiday cabin place the left up the lanes to the old army ranges :)
