Ive got a decent 16V box ( JB3 ) its £175 + vat with a 3 month warranty. You can get them cheaper but i guarantee you they will be fooked. Any problems with ours and you get your money back or an exchange unit.
Fantastic - ive had a couple of retro Renault's myself including a R21 Turbo, a R11 Turbo cup racer and a Renault GTA V6 turbo......there fantastic cars and have so much more character than modern cars.
Renault had a lot of warranty problems with the Renault 5 GT Turbo - the amount that came back for work cost them quite a few ££££. The same is happening with the 1.9 DCi and 1.5 DCi engines there producing - turbo's blowing left right and centre and costing them a lot of money ( mostly engine...
As i said - cut a section of the leg out and strengthen the surrounding area so the end casing of the PK6 will fit. Then just shorten the drive shaft. Its exactly the same problem i had when me and jordy did the conversion on mine. This is a crude pic but its very similar to what my leg looked...
Yes it is - cut the chassis leg out like i did with mine :D
The 6 speed i had in my clio was huge and i had to cut a small section of the leg out to make it fit - you know what im on about, you saw it
You could do it....
All you need is a PK6 012, an adapter plate, an hydraulic clutch slave clinder, 2 CV joints ( inner that mate up to the PK6 box ) some high pressure pipe and a clutch pedal that has a master cylinder attached.
Bolt the plate onto the block, make a template of the...
Thats nothing - ive seen worse in which people have survived
The car is designed to encage the passengers and protect them - it does it pretty well, as we get some very badly damaged cars were i work and 99% of the owners seem to have survived. The shell has about 40 crumple zones and its...
I got my 60 foot times down to 1.8 sec - fair enough i had more power but racing slicks are your next move. Go for Mickey T's if youve got the coin or a cheap set of ex clio cup michelin slicks will do the trick. When you approach the lights smoke the hell out of them and then reverse and do...
The problem occurs when people dont close there bonnet's properly and it just closes on the hand release under the tip of the bonnet. If they dropped it from 6 inches and let it close properly on the catch the fault wouldnt happen. Its kinda like saying i forgot to close my car door and i fell...
Take the shocker / spring off - if it doesnt free off with lubricant ( try plusgas ) or the C spanner get a very fine hack saw and cut the ring at the top and the bottom or grind the rings off ( be careful ) and order up some new ones from Demon tweeks.
I always wrapped my FK threads with...
Cool vid !! .... Looked pretty equal to me - not bad for yank muscle in twisty territory
Now lets see how the 197 would cope in Corvette Territory

Personally i know the clio would get chewed...
You mean the spacer / caliper support.....7700840654 £56.34 + vat o/s or 7700840655 £57.40 + vat. The number you have is the old number. Also Renault constantly change there prices so the above may differ
