Excellent, cheers.
A week ago I was clueless on Imprezas, other than knowing they sound awesome and having a quick passenger ride in Daniel's was great fun.
Now I'm slightly more learned and unfortunately, very much fixated!
coleman's RB5 is gorgeous, I have a soft spot for a tidy P1, your...
What version is yours Rob?
And how would you describe the interior, both as a place to spend the day munching miles, and as somewhere to enjoy pressing-on?
Plans are looking good, Fletcher, I can't recommend the PMS stud & nut kit highly enough, I think it's superb, and you'll find it especially useful if you are to keep changing from one set to another etc etc.
I'm actually quite surprised how much of a difference changing to anthracite wheels...
What's the performance pinnacle for STis and what's the order after that? (Standard cars).
Type 25
P1
RB5
Type UK
Etc?
Is the best performing STi also the most desirable?
Thanks guys, that link was fascinating reading.
Must resist temptation, although it will be hard having been in Daniel 's recently. What a weapon (the car, not him ;) )
New to the world of Imprezas - is the version number age-related? I.e. 1,2 & 3 are classic, 4 & 5 bug eye, 6 blob eye and the rest hawk eye, for example, or does it mean something else?
Is that the one with 5+ owners, current owner bought a few months ago and is sold as seen with no warranty...
Another vote for Mike Woodford, as mentioned above. Send him a PM for more details.
The other option is to head north to Fred at BTM Performance in Brum.
The Trophy is still going strong, but it will be doing less miles over winter as it has a new stable-mate:
No doubt many of you will recognise it but for those that don't it's a facelift E46 330 M-Sport in Silbergrau. It's petrol and has the 6 speed manual gearbox, black leather interior...
Superb preparation, bet you can't wait for it to get proper cold and for some of the white stuff to come down so you can exploit the rubber. Huge fun passing stranded cars with consummate ease.
I removed my rear seats so I had an excuse not to carry more than one passenger, and nobody farts in my car, NOBODY!! ;)
That said, I know what you mean, and I'm in the same situation, my left rear is fizzing away. I plan to just disconnect them - they're so weak compared to the quality I have...
Is it even worth it, upgrading the rear speakers? In a Clio wouldn't you be better just upgrading the HU and components then amping them? Who cares about rear seat passengers anyway, it's all about the driver!
BTM Performance do one, and the following are also popular/highly-rated; RS192, something from K-Tec Racing, BTB, ProSpeed or Orbisoud if you're feeling flush.
iPhone basics - hold down the key (in this case the standard apostrophe) for more variation options.
OP - you are lucky to have a P1 & 182, both are epic in my eyes.
Check out the Clio Projects sub-forum - there are some very well-modded cars in there which you'll be able to draw on for some inspiration!
It's a great car to step up to, and even if you're stepping down it's still a great car with epic handling, but it may be harder to gel with having had...
My guess is it's either had a few engine issues or it's running a little rough... Be good to hear whether it's still on the road, and if so, how it's going...
