pad choice will make a difference. The Hawk pads compbrake supply are not the best in my opinion.
But there is a full range available, DS2500's, 1144's etc etc
tried the compbrakes then? and also compared them to the AP's and Brembo's?
i am sure the AP's are a better product (being monoblock callipers), but then they are over twice the price.
i dont find the pedal softer, i find it has more feel to it. its more progressive.
i guess it does have a longer stroke on it, but then thats the nature of having more pistons to fill!
yeah, but i dont really think it was a whole hearted attempt! well if you call putting the engine in the space let from the old engine, dangling from a crane, an attempt!

have to say about the cage and window winder issue.... i have the same cage, and the bars that are stopping the window winder dont go there in my diagram, they connect the main hoop to the front roof sections (if that makes sence).

indeed, we supply the correct fittings so you dont have to cut and flare, as we felt it was more user friendly.
But Compbrake do recommend the cut n flare technique.
As for the setup itself, you have to make sure the system is bled properly. I have just fitted a set to my latest 172, and...
