got it in one. the ET43 was comissioned by palmer sport for thier clio's. The wheel was beefed up and is a stronger item. And i was told that by Chris Jordan @ Speedline (before anyone claims its BS)

yup! basically cheese wire, with two handles! carefully saw/cut through it. Draper/Sealey etc do specialist tools, but depends if u can wait to get one, or want the expense.

i have the same cage. it doesnt require one. and racking my memeory, i cant remember the last cage that i saw with a bar there. but i am guessing these guys know something the rest of us dont?

surely if a bar was needed there designers would of added one? dont ever see bars there on any cages. i am guess the strength of the main hoop, coupled with being welded in palce etc provides enough. unless you put a 'X' section in like WRC cars etc run.
