Crap TBH. I used to have to take my old work van to the one in Bulwell when tyres or brakes needed changing (they performed the maintenance for the hire firm).
I used to pay for it on my company credit card so I know what they charged.
New brake pads on the front cost £237 including an hour's...
About a tank and half a week, so £60 tops for about 400 miles a week.
I used to be a lot more economical when I was skint, now I couldn't care less - it's more fun!
It looks utter s**te, but with quite a bit of work it could actually be made to look mental.
I've always wanted to start a 6R4 project but the expense is phenomenal. Can cost over 20K to build a proper replica with the correct engine and running gear.
IIRC for the engine you can get a V8 out of...
Using old school mathematics, that should make the circumference of the tyres about 1.5 to 2 inches more at most.
So they'll go from being about 53 to about 55 inches in circumference. (I think, but I have been drinking!)
So I wouldn't worry too much about speeding. I think most cars' speedo's...
Go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate
Install any of the ActiveX controls it prompts you with.
Choose "Custom".
After the scan, click on the "Device Drivers" link on the left hand side.
More often than not, it'll have found any missing drivers for you.
Put a tick in the box next to...
BartPE will do the trick for you.
It creates a RAM drive and boots into a chopped down Windows subsystem that runs entirely from RAM and CD-ROM, which means you can read and write to NTFS partitions, perform HDD maintenance, ghost drives, recover data, etc...
It's not too much of a problem naming your internal AD domain the same as your email / web domain. You just have to know what you're doing to work around the problem you've got yourself into.
For example, your AD incorporated DNS servers will think they're fully authorititive for the zone that...
You could just install a Certification Authority on your network if you haven't already got one, then export the intermediate and web certificates from your CA and use group policy to distribute them to client PC's / laptops' relevant certificate stores. Or even Autoenrollment if you're feeling...
Never had any issues myself, or known of any that have affected us.
I'd make sure to test everything works properly before raising the domain and forest functional levels to 2008 though, because you can't revert back again.
More grip? Didn't Top Gear do a back to back comparison of the 2WD and 4WD 911's and conclude that the 4WD has loads more grip, but the 2WD is more tail happy and more fun?
Do it yourself. It's dead easy.
Decent socket set, set of axle stands, trolley jack, spring compressors and a can of WD40 is pretty much all you need.
Or failing that, give Prima Racing a try. They're in Basford these days IIRC.
Given the choice I think I'd still rather own a Vee for the posing factor etc.
Anyone fitted coilovers to a V6? What does that do to the handling in comparison to fitting them to a 1*2?
I've used 247spares.co.uk quite a few times for various bits and bobs.
I brought a refurbed gearbox for my old 106 GTi off there and it was perfect.
Brought a new heater matrix, a new door handle, a new door mirror and a new bonnet catch for my dad's Corolla off there too. All were fine.
I thought I was the only one this happens to but obviously not.
The car ALWAYS starts fine unless I've just filled up or I'm parked on a steep hill. If this is the case, it often sounds like it's struggling to start the first time, or it takes an extra crank or two of the starter motor before it...
Sounds to me like they've had your pants down.
I'm sure GDI / Birchdown / Rentech / K-Tec etc would work out cheaper, and they probably know more about the RS Clio's than the Renault mechanics do.
I think the OP should perhaps have worded the original question differently.
He should have asked who's had a cambelt snap on them, and at what age / mileage. He obviously knows it's overdue, so by finding out who's had them snap it might help build up a picture of how much longer he can expect...
No idea TBH. I've never took mine apart. I read up on how to do it but never had to in the end.
I had erratic auto wipers, but noticed my wiper blades were quite worn. I brought new blades and that fixed them for me.
From inside the car.
If you're sat in the front seats, then just above your head are two lights. One of them is the light that comes on when you open the doors, the other one is a little map reading light that you point in various directions. These are the interior lights I was referring to.
If...
Have a look in the guides section.
Someone has written a guide on how to do it.
The rain sensor is between the interior lights panel and the windscreen.
