You should be insured from the second you've paid for the policy.

Make a template the same size and shape of the TV and stick it on the wall with blutac or something. Keep moving it until you're happy with the position and then mark it on the wall.

Have you spoken to the dealership you purchased it from? See what they say before taking the word of some garage. You could of course get a HPI check done yourself and then present that to the dealership and see what they have to say.

How do you know it's an import? What makes you so sure?

Not sure in that case. My old 172 and the Cup both suffered from faulty central locking (something to do with the drivers door) where it would randomly lock/unlock/lock itself (while driving and when parked up).
