There's a large bunch of channels that work without a card but I simply can't remember or list them all.
Unless they've changed it surprisingly channel 4 was one of the main channel that needed a FTA card for some reason but they're only £20 (no subscription) anyway.
There's 3 tiers to what you can get.
Without any card at all you'll get BBC, ITV and the shopping channels.
With a Freesat/FTA card you'll get channel four, some of the news channels and so on.
For everything else you'll need to subscribe to sky.

I'll definitely not be using it with the PC and I haven't got a 360/PS3 either so I slowly started to move away from LCD. After getting Sky HD I've been watching loads of the HD films (Via Anytime) and naturally football at every opportunity so hopefully the better contrast ratio's and response...

With me watching a mix of films and sport in SD and HD I felt Plasma was the best way forwards.
Managed to get this, with a 3 year warranty, for £604 so I'm pretty chuffed about that.

I spotted that yesterday and was quite tempted. It may be bottom of Sony's range but it's still a Bravia and looks very tempting at that price.
