too true doug, these these things are like women, they'll only put a smile on ur face if you look after them.
thankfully, unlike women, the cars dont nag/argue, lol.
Last november i crashed my cup, didnt do much damage, just a hole in the front bumper and a dinked bonnet. After that i lost the love for it, seeing it damaged just removed any desire to care for it. It got pretty dirty and looked crap. Then about 2 months ago it got vandalised, the bumper still...
oooh its lovely, i thought about one when they were on o% finance (that deal didnt last long did it) but couldnt justify it atm.
cant make my mind up on liquid on the 197 tho.
only had 2 cars:
Clio 1.4S Mk2 Ph1 - Much loved, great first car for learning the basics
Clio 172 Cup - Absolute minter, worse seats than the 1.4S, but AWESOME all round.
maybe im stupid (ive never brought a brand new car before), but i dont get entirely what this pre-reg busniess is?
presumably ur ordering a car that has left the factory, but has no paperwork etc yet??? why is this cheaper?
could sum1 explain...
*dumb face*
what did i say yesterday eh? hehe.
"dibs on the wheels"...."dibs on the interior"...
itd only been in the ditch 2 minutes and i remarked about how quick people would want the bits, lol.
looks awesome mate, lovely track car.
if memeory serves tho, attaching ur harnesses to the strut brace is a serious no-no, use the mounting point for the previous rear seatbelts.
if u crash and the chassis twists, u cud be crushed.
*edit: beaten to it, lol*
you gotta remember that the cup suspension, along with the trophy, is among the best hot hatch suspesnion setup to hit the road ever. In order to improve on it you gotta spend serious wedge, simply slapping some lowering springs on it will make it look cool, but it wont sort ur handing out...
gutted for you mate, that was a lovely car.
shudnt be an issue getting sorted with a new one sharpish tho eh?
if u get another sporty clio tho just chill it down slightly, especially with a cup, no abs and no traction control! At the end of the day everyone is out to have fun, we dont want any...
if u get the trophy one you also need to change the struts, as the standard ones are too long.
imo the trophy spoiler looks a bit out of place on aother cars (bar the v6).
theyre also harder to get hold of.
what im saying is.....get a cup spoiler!
