I am living in deep Peruvian rain forrest, no cup or 172 would sub second to 60 here either due to dense undergrowth beneath jungle canopy.
Also tigers get in way and is quite slippy.
22....I have heard it works better cold than hot?...but the whole point of air con is that it takes the moisture out of the air, even makes my contact lenses uncomfortable when it worked in the old Clio!....so I dont think temp should matter...it should get rid of misting if the temp is high or low.
Yeah I hit the demist button once I saw the windows starting to steam up, it very slowly started to clear the mist on the front screen, after 10 minutes of driving half the screen was clear, I was having to duck down to look through the clear bit , must have looked like a dwarf driving or something.
Having the air-con on should de-mist all interior windows in seconds so my work colleague tells me.....in my previous Clio dci it worked very well...especially if it was raining outside...but with the CC in this 172 it just seems pants...will take it back in to the dealer anyway :-(
New 172 (well one month old now)....this morning after my drive to work (15 mins) my air-con/CC had failed to demist my windows....have already taken it back once to get re-gassed but seems now weak at best...if not non-existent.
How do you know if your air-con is working or not?
How long...
In the 172 you get a full size alloy. I keep it at home with the tool kit, saves 20kg+ if you go one step further and replace the standard alloys with lightweights you could see a total weight saving of over 60kgs. In a car that is already quite light I reckon that would make a noticeable...
Yeah...the P1 is pretty much based on a car that was around quite a while before it....much cheaper...quicker too due to shorter gearing....boy do I miss it!...Sti V(ersion)6 Type R V-ltd.
Last night police raided Micheal Jacksons Neverland ranch and found drugs. They found class A in the kitchen, class B in the lounge and Class 4-C in his bedroom... http://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/gallery/full/1069426338__michael_jackson_on_the_run.jpg
0-60 = 4.5secs
0-100 = 11.5 secs
Amazing handling.
Sti Import....only downside is Subaru will not service it so you have to head to a specialist.
Sold this one for £18k 3 years ago...probably get it for £10k now.

Mmm I dont know how technically difficult it would be to get bucket seats fitted?...anyone?....
I dont want to go to the extreme of an Elise (remembers being on all fours getting out of one recently!)...but something that makes you feel you are sitting lower would be well appreciated!
God I feel Im in a Range Rover sometimes! Im just 6" so not particularly tall but I feel the seats are waaay too high even on the lowest setting.
Anyone else feel this in a 172?....anyone taken the seats out and replaced them with something sexier/lighter/lower?
With £20,000 you could buy a TVR Cerbera 4.2, an excellent vehicle in which to learn to drive and potter about town in. A good size boot for shopping at Lidl too. Best yet its a tad more nippy than any Clio!
I got mats in mine, very poor quality thin and yucky just fury cardboard really.

"So I tanked down to the front door, grabbed a fire extinguisher and did my best"
Having just filled the car with petrol your braver than I am!...Id have stood WELL back!!.....hope you can get a nice spanking new replacement...hmmmm may as well hold out for the 182 now!....every cloud....
The demist button does nothing except blow air at a higher speed, its quite useless (like the smart wipe function!) especially if the air con is f**ked!
How can you tell if it is working?, drove to work tonight in my new 172 and the inside screens staid misty for most of the duration of the journey, is this the only way to tell if air-con/CC is working?...even on mini the air didnt seem particularly cold?
Now its raining I have been playing with this function on my new 172 and have decided its crap.
How can I disable the smart wipe function and use the sensitivity ring as a simple intermittant control?

Gives a good comparison guide between the various models.
I have a Bel 550 which works great!..though if money were no object Road Angel looks cool combining laser detection and fixed position recognition for...
Have a Bel 550 which I fitted to my new 172 in the gap area central lower on windscreen, have tested it and it works fine, picks up Gatsos that I know are live no problem, I think a lot is made of this special windscreen, its really not so restrictive as I have played with situating the detector...
Picked up my new 172 last Friday, dealer told me production of current 172 will stop next Wednesday. He said they are still taking orders for 172s though from the supply that is currently available.
Cheers Lee!...the salesman on the phone told me it was ready for collection and how he loved that shade of silver.
Ummm interesting I replied as I ordered it in Monacco Blue!!
lol!..didnt complain too much as didnt fancy waiting til January for a blue one like yours!....got 6 Renault valets...
