your car will take alot longer than 8 miles to warm up fully, the temp gauge on the dash shows water temp not oil temp. I would say drive it for 30mins and then if it wont hit 7200rpm in third then somethings not right.

My clio's cost me a grand this month also!! on the plus side my new gearbox is sweet as a nut!!

you should have at look at the plugs etc before buying bits i would say, then if the plugs look ok then it may point towards it being ht leads etc

Ive had a clio on 17's 16's and 15's.. it handles the best on 15's by miles.
