Why do garages charge so much for diagnostics??

The reason diagnostics charges are seemingly expensive is that the equipment being used is often worth well in excess of a grand, even more in most cases - eg: Snap On gear. Different equipment gives you different levels of access. For instance take an RStuner - it will function perfectly well...

No decent Clio threads on here lately?

Although I understand peoples frustration with the lack of heavy duty projects - I still think there are a good few floating about on CS compared to many other manufacture specific forums! It comes back to the market profile for the Clios, most are under 25-26 in age and subsequently don't have...

    Rover Shed...

Nicely put together in a very matter of fact way. You can just see the scraped, perma-dirty front wing of your other trusty steed trying to get in the shots - another 25 I assume? lol

    Cams

^ make sure he has all the locking tools, I mean ALL of them. Definitely worth doing at the same time if you can afford the price of the cams, as you won't have to pay the labour & parts cost (belt at least but more likely an entire belt kit) of taking the car to bits again if you were to do it...

You can if you go with an electric PAS pump relocated elsewhere. Otherwise you need a dry rack - DCi IIRC correctly, but can't remember 100%

NW Rolling Road meet @ RS Tuning Sat 8th May 2010

That's very high gray! We have a 172 cup running similar bits and bobs from us apart from a homemade filtration setup/battery relcation etc that always gets around 184bhp & 167lb/ft - total monster to drive - makes my car feel like a 1.6 in contrast. On another note I have edited the...

NW Rolling Road meet @ RS Tuning Sat 8th May 2010

Good I hope it makes sense. James & I stand by the stuff we sell as it represents us at the end of the day. I have no idea mate, my car was a slow one from the word go - buyers luck I guess (I think you would be hard pushed to persuade the selling party to let you RR the car before buying it!)...

NW Rolling Road meet @ RS Tuning Sat 8th May 2010

Not a lot I can say about the various results people were achieving, but don't be so fast to blame the kits please. As we tried hard to stress the kits were tested totally back to back to ensure accuracy. If you don't believe the results please phone Chris @ TOTD and ask him - he took the power...

    Few Problems...

In a fair world Renault should replace the EM for you as they are crap. Standard ones will always sag. Drive shaft could by a multitude of things, but more than likely the clip that secures the CV boot has come loose - do you have any dark grease appearing in the arch/inside of the wheel? If...

    My 'almost' new car...

I think the point a lot of people are trying to convey is that for the same money you could buy a real sport. The point being that by carrying out a conversion of this nature you miss the main appeal of sport ownership which is the character of the chassis, braking etc. People often get hung up...

    Camberly Meadows Meet - PICS

We built the trophy to Matt's specification, including the rather monstrous splitter. Its good for 186bhp in its current form and does have some lovely features on it. :) Was a good meet, nice to see some new faces!
