My 182 (both cup bits) is on a 54 plate (2004) with 4k miles on it.
I emailed a dealer about part exchange on a Audi S3 to see how much they would offer and they said "if the car is as new then we can give you £8,000
now i know Renault dont hold their value that well but thats a joke, i was...
about 300-350 miles to a tank, thats with optimax though
the 182 holds 11 gallons of petrol and should according to Renault do 33mpg, assuming the light comes on with a gallon left then it still should do 330 miles on a tank
according to autocar the 182 is about 4 secs quicker and an earlier evo test including the 182, MCS, CTR, Pug GTI and Focus ST the clio was 2.4 secs faster to 100
182 is about 4 secs faster to 100 than the MCS, quite a big difference considering the MCS is about 5k more expensive when specced up to the same as the 182
I have an autocar magazine with the old works 200bhp on it, it wasnt a proper road test but they did some performance figure for it
MCS Works 182
0-60 6.8 6.3
0-100 17.2 17.0
30-70 5.9 5.8
Obviosuly the new one will be...
the v6 is faster than the ctr, probably about 1.5 secs faster to 100.
Theres no doubting the V6 is quick but when it comes down to performance per pound then its not impressive
no one is giving you a hard time, the facts are that the 182 and CTR are similar in performance. Sometimes one feels quicker but this is sometimes to do with the way the power is delivered. For example my brother has a BMW 330ci and we both agree that the 182 feels quicker (this is probably due...
in most mags the 182 is faster to 60 than the CTR and the CTR faster to 100. I doubt the CTR can get to 60 in 6.4 as it requires two gear changes, most mags get it to 60 in late 6s
surely the figures dont lie, 17.5 in evo and 17 in autocar, i assumed they would do it with just the driver in the car and a small amount of fuel (i assume this is the same for all cars), what do you reckon the 182 will do it in then??
I think it is quite difficult to tell which is the fastest even if you have owned them both, the way the power is delivered make cars feel faster, cars with turbos always feel faster
in autocar
0-60 0-100 30-70
182 6.3 17.0 5.8
WRX 5.5 16.1 5.8
Pretty close then, anway id rather have the 182 i think they are so ugly, would have a S4 M3 over a STI anyday, although I have to admit value...
A mate of mine at work owns a WRX (225), he claims that it will blow my 182 away, i disagree and believe that up to 100mph the clio will hang on to it, what do you guys reckon? any experiences?
Also as part of my arguement i refer to an article in autocar where the 182 was faster round the...
Ive just looked on autotrader and there are six. As for the silver one of J28 of the M1 if you like it then go for it, i dont think the number of owners is that important, obviously it will slightly effect resale value but the main thing is reg and mileage.
