the cup will be slightly quicker given everything constant, however becuase the weight difference is only 20kg a difference in fuel amounts, driver weight would affect the result, i.e. if a std 182 had quarter of a tank left and the 182 cup a full tank the 182 cup would weigh more
he also said that it was uncomfortable, then later started talking about its half leathers and all the equipment and then said it was very comfortable. He did concluded by saying the 182 that none of its faults matter for one very good reason as it makes you feel happy!
Hes funny but dont take...
On the 182 review Clarkson slated some bits off the car and praised other bits
anyway opinions are like belly buttons everyone has one but most dont hold much water!
get the 182 it was faster than the V6 round top gears test track, and its only half the price. Seriously though if i was going to spend 25k on a car i wouldnt buy a clio
Its your choice, if you can afford it get the car you want
Ill run and hide now!
The Cupra R and 182 are two totally different machines so are difficult to compare, besides there not even in the same class of car. IMO it seems strange to move from a 172 to a 182 as they are so close, I own a 182 and i think my next car will be something as fast as the 182 but a little less...
I put my brothers road angel in the car and the speed on that matched the speed set on the cruise control although the speedometer was showing a couple of miles an hour over
Just add my opinion,
If you want all the goodies such as CC, xenons, auto lights, half leather seats etc then get the 182 with cup pack.
If you cant afford one or are simply not bothered about the fancy little bits of kit get the 182 cup.
I would always go for the 182 with cup bits as the...
yeah but all the road test i have seen for the 182 have been 0-60 in under 7 secs, some of the 172 road test were over 7 not all but some.
The main reason i would have a 182 becuase IMO the twin exhaust looks better, also like the wheels
IMO though anyone who owns a 172/182 is fortunate to...
my average is about 30mpg do alot of town driving though. However went on a 65mile round trip to nottingham which is probably a good route between urban and extra urban (maybe slightly favours extra urban)and got 36.7mpg
given everything identical you would expect the 182 to be slightly faster than the 172, but hardly noticeable. The problem is though because they are so close alot of other factors come into it such as miles on the car, weight of driver, how many passengers, whether you have a good one or a bad...
You are only believing what you want to believe, Evo got the 182 to 60 in 6.6 and that was in the wet.
I think the LCR would start to pull away from the 182 after 100mph+ and it should do its about 5 grand more expensive, but blitz it, i dont think so
Doesnt really matter that much too me...
I totally disagree that a standard LCR would blitz a 182. According to Autocar
0-60 0-100 30-70 through gears Top Speed
182 6.3 17.0 5.8 138
LCR 6.5 18.0...
Lets be honest there isnt much in it between the CTR/182, in mags ive seen on several occasions the clio post better times and then the CTR post better times, its that close.
However the Clio is in a class below and is matching and in the majority of cases bettering cars it shouldnt be and...
