Thats not true though, autocar got the 182 to 60 0.8 secs faster than the 172 and nearly a second faster to a 100, also the 182 does 30-70 through the gears in over a second faster than the 172 I think alot of people on here who have swapped a 172 for a 182 say that the 182 is slightly faster...

I will put Shell Optimax in my 182 when it comes, Renault reccommend 98 ron so thats what it will get. I think most people on here would use the reccomended engine oil and would not be to please if renault put crap oil in their car, same for petrol IMO

Cheers, all the mags seem to get the 182 to 60 in well under 7 secs. What suprises me though is how much quicker it is than the GTI 180, you would have though there would be nothing in it

Those are from the road test though (not the 0-100-0) or did the 182 post the same times in the 0-100-0 The reason I ask is becuase I know the megane posted significantly different times in the 2 different tests!

I like the Cooper S, the prob with it is expensive and weighs to much so the RS clios murder them in a straight line. the clio is over a second quicker to 60 and about 4 secs quicker to 100. The 182 according to autocar is faster than the Cooper S Works as well. What the MINI has going for...
