Never got that argument. You're going to pay another 3k for a 200, beacuse your 197 is about to be out of warrenty...... yet the 197 might be sound for another 3 years. If it does break you have that spare 3k to chuck at it??

ffs With a clear coat you cant restore damaged faded base coat. You'll only be cutting at the clear coat. On a old car with no clear coat, a cutting compound will bring it up as new, but 90% of cars now have a clear coat finish.

Yeah, thats cos Vauxhall flame red has no clear coat. With a clear coat your only cutting that, so it wont have any effect on the colour of the paint below it.

T-cut works on Vauxhalls as there's no lacquer All Renault paint as far as I know has a clear coat. So if the finish is faded, its below this clear coat, so nothing can be done other than a respray. The fading is due to UV damage
