No. They are different, 182's have a different bolt spacing to where they mate to the hub at 60mm. 172's are 54mm

Its not the belt, usually its the pulleys or aux belt not being changed. Lots of garages just change the belt, when it should be the full KIT changed, which includes the pulleys ;)
