    maybe a dodgy lamp, it is recommened that you fit exactly the same lamps to as the colour can be slightly off.. only thing i can think of is to buy a brand new pair.

    alright for some, my insurance company wont even insure me on a saxo vtr until i'm 21... only until january for that, need to be 25 for a 172!!!! can get it elsewhere but its like £2200 and £400 deposit which I cant afford.

    I bet that most people who modify 1.2s cant afford to insure/maintain a 2.0 litre clio! ie me!!! I would love a faster car, but I the cheapest I can insure a 172 for is £2200, whereas I can insure a fully modded 1.2 for just over a grand, and its probably more fun too ragging the nuts off a wee...

    best i've had out of my 2001 1.2 12v is 45 driving up to fort william, usually get around 36 on the daily commute into glasgow at 20 miles country road and 6 miles of town driving, even been as low as 30 mpg once

    possibly a repost but how easy is it? my mate got a qoute from a place in glasgow around £150 to have his wondows tinted in a veccie. esp design to pre cut tints at £20 a set, seems the cheapest option but dont want to make a hash of it doing it myself?

    nice one mate. i'll probably do my door bump strips, door handles, boot lock and the front and rear bumpers. might even do the fog light surround as they're looking pretty faded with the light. are you using the colour coding guide that was in the articles section?

    yup just twist them one way or the other. there should be wee bits that stick out allowing it to only go in one way... thats on a mark 2 phase 1 but should be the same on your car i think.

    As they said... if I had a choice of a car or a flat/house I'd take the car as I dont have a van or anything and I spend a lot of time travelling to mountain bike races at weekend, and you wont have to pay as many bills either, so let your parents do the hard work and let yourself have fun with...
